Sebastian Copeland

Sebastian Copeland is a polar researcher, environmental activist, photographer and author. He led numerous expeditions to the polar regions. His images have appeared in numerous magazines worldwide, including National Geographic, Vanity Fair, The New York Times and USA Today. He uses his contacts to create an awareness of climate change through his work. Copeland uses the medium of photography as an activistic tool in the fight against environmental degradation. For this work, Sebastian Copeland was recognized at the International Photography Awards 2007 in two categories: photographer of the year in the book category and nature book of the year.
